IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
What You Will Be Doing
You will serve as a key member of the Portfolio Management Office supporting our Information Technology domain areas, including Infrastructure, Security, and Workforce Technology. In this role, you will partner with senior IT leaders to lead multiple end‑to‑end projects from discovery through transition, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. You will develop detailed work plans, monitor project progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
You will also identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, working closely with management to implement solutions. This position is a 6‑month contract that offers the opportunity to influence critical IT initiatives and enhance business operations through effective project leadership.
- Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple IT projects across teams and departments.
- Partner with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and resource requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and escalate risks as needed to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress, and document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the implementation and delivery of technical solutions involving servers, storage, databases, middleware, and networking components.
- Ensure projects incorporate security considerations into decision‑making processes and daily operations.
- Manage resources effectively, applying resource management models to support project and portfolio goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and leadership throughout project delivery.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in ambiguous or changing project environments.
- 5+ years of IT‑related project management experience.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑profile programmes and projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, including full project lifecycle management.
- Experience leading project teams utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies and tools.
- Proficient in project planning, scheduling, risk analysis, and resource management.
- Hands‑on technical understanding of servers, storage, databases, middleware, and networking concepts.
- Excellent meeting facilitation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in ambiguous environments and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Reside in the St. Louis, Missouri, area.
- Commitment to security best practices in all work activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience managing large enterprise efforts and strategic projects beyond enterprise mobility.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
- Previous experience working within a portfolio management or strategic program environment.
$49.00 – $70.00 /hr
