Project Manager

Location:

St. Louis, Missouri (Remote)

Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will lead all phases of data-driven IT initiatives from inception to operational transition. You will be responsible for defining project scope, proactively managing risks and financials, and leveraging your healthcare industry expertise to drive cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for all phases of IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, go-live, monitoring, and closure.

* Track, proactively manage, communicate, and escalate project issues and risks.

* Establish and maintain project management documentation such as a Project Plan, RAID log, and Communication Plan.

* Facilitate and lead project meetings to ensure team alignment and awareness of progress, risks, and issues.

* Present project health to leadership and maintain strong stakeholder engagement.

* Ensure project change requests are communicated and approved.

* Assign and update project resource allocation and approve project time cards weekly.

* Manage project finances to keep the project within budget.

* Facilitate the transition of support to operations, including project closeout checklists.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Business Management is required.

Experience:

Experience in hospital or healthcare systems is required. Proficiency in implementing and/or supporting major application packages in and outside of healthcare is also required.

Experience with the Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is necessary.

Technical

Skills:

Candidates must be familiar with HL7 standards and File Transfer Protocol. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, Health Information Exchanges (HIE), and data analytic platforms is required.

Experience with Google Workspace, JIRA, Confluence, and Service Now PPM tool is also necessary. Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies is required.

Preferred Qualifications

* PMP certification is preferred.
