Job Description
The Amazon Web Services (Pro Serve) team seeks a skilled Delivery Consultant. The role requires a U.S. citizen who holds and maintains an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The consultant will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
The consultant will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, propose migration strategies, guide customers on industry trends, oversee implementation, ensure best‑practice adherence, optimize performance, and manage risks.
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of software development lifecycle experience from conception to delivery
- Experience designing, planning, and implementing applications and/or database migrations to the cloud
- 5+ years of external or internal customer‑facing, complex, and large‑scale project management
- Current active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph
- Experience presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Database experience (e.g., SQL, No
SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) - Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience with AWS data/file transfer solutions such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and/or AWS Data Sync
