Role Summary
We are evolving our Service Management team to move beyond support and operations. As a Senior Engineer in service management, you will own the availability, performance, and scalability of one of the most critical services at LSEG.
What You Will Be Doing- Support Managers maintain Service Level Objectives for the systems they own. Constantly measuring and improving availability, latency, and overall system health is at the core of our team's purpose.
- Write automation to scale systems sustainably, prevent service issues, or when they occur, quickly recover service.
- Partner with development teams to improve system reliability, observability, and release velocity.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis and resolution.
- Be a vocal advocate of strong and sound engineering practices that allow us to build, deploy, and run scalable, reliable, and performant services.
- Act as enabler for cloud migration working with foundation and migration teams from the inception of the projects, performing architectural reviews, operational acceptance testing and configuring Datadog dashboards and metrics.
- Be part of a continuous learning and development culture.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or similar.
- Experience in maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Hands‑on experience with one of the following cloud platforms:
Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Dynatrace or similar.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Incident response and running blameless post‑mortems.
- Proficient in Git workflows.
- Minimum 8‑10 years in the industry.
- Experience with Dev Ops concepts and way of working.
- Experience with algorithms and data structures.
- Understanding of identity and access management and application security.
- Native Azure relational database experience.
Base salary range: $114,200 – $190,400, subject to geographic location. The role is eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Employees are typically eligible for our Benefits program, which includes:
