Overview
The Advisor Platform Specialist serves as a primary liaison between Focus advisory teams and key Wealth Tech platform support teams, including portfolio accounting, financial planning, and client engagement platforms. This role is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day platform usage, assisting with issue resolution, and helping ensure advisors have a consistent, high‑quality technology experience. The Specialist partners closely with internal teams, vendors, and advisory stakeholders to support platform adoption, data accuracy, and ongoing enhancements.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, service‑minded, and excited to build deep expertise across the Wealth Tech ecosystem while contributing to an exceptional advisor experience.
Wealth Tech Platform Support & Advisor Enablement- Serve as a primary contact point between Wealth Tech platform support teams and Focus advisory teams for questions, issues, and general support.
- Respond to advisor inquiries, troubleshoot basic platform issues, and elevate more complex items to senior team members or vendors as needed.
- Provide baseline training to advisors on Wealth Tech platforms, including navigation, core functionality, and standard workflows.
- Curate, maintain, and improve training materials (guides, job aids, FAQs, recordings) to support consistent onboarding and ongoing education.
- Collaborate with internal partners (Advisor Development, Integration, Operations, and Technology) to support platform‑related initiatives.
- Coordinate with external vendors to log issues, track resolutions, and follow up on open items.
- Support testing and validation efforts related to platform enhancements, integrations, or data changes.
- Identify areas of improvement and efficiency within each Wealth Tech platform by analyzing advisor feedback, recurring issues, and usage trends.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance advisor experience, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate platform updates, enhancements, and known issues to advisory teams in a clear and consistent manner.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in financial services, operations, technology support, product support, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
- Comfort working with technology platforms and learning new systems quickly.
- Familiarity with Wealth Tech platforms such as Orion, Money Guide, eMoney, Invest Cloud, or similar financial technology tools.
- Experience supporting advisors, clients, or internal stakeholders in a platform or systems‑focused role.
- Interest in process improvement, systems thinking, or technology enablement.
- Understanding of wealth management or financial planning concepts.
- Advisor‑focused mindset with a passion for improving advisor experience.
- Strong organizational and follow‑through skills.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working across functions.
- Analytical thinker who can connect issues to root causes.
- Adaptability in a fast‑changing technology environment.
This non‑exempt position offers an annualized base pay range of $50,000‑$60,000 (actual pay may vary based on experience, expertise, location, and skill set). Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) options.
