Hart is a health IT firm that specializes in moving, transforming, and connecting electronic healthcare data. Our vision is to unite the healthcare community to improve data accessibility for patients, providers, and partners for a singular health ecosystem. Hart is seeking a motivated and experienced Dev Ops Engineer to focus on cybersecurity for our internal teams and customers to ensure smooth operation of Hart’s IT infrastructure and HIPPA compliance.
Key responsibilities for Dev Ops Security include setting up secure development pipelines, monitoring security logs, conducting security assessments, and implementing automated security tests. In addition, they play a crucial role in the analysis and mitigation of potential security threats, ensuring that the company's data and systems remain protected at all times. To be successful in this role, a Dev Ops engineer must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and implementing security measures to protect Hart's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
- Collaborating with development and implementation teams to ensure that security software is integrated seamlessly throughout the development and deployment process and secure development pipelines are established.
- Conducting regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and suggest improvements to security protocols.
- Monitoring and analyzing security incidents to minimize damage and prevent future occurrences.
- Ensuring the company's software and infrastructure are compliant with industry security standards and regulations, including SOCII and HIPAA.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for security procedures, policies, and configurations.
- Providing training and support to team members on security best practices.
- Developing tools and automation for faster detection and response to security events.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity news, trends, and threat intelligence to stay ahead of potential threats.
- Responding to security breaches and incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to mitigate damage and execute incident response strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in IT, Engineering or Cybersecurity related field.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Strong background in software development, system administration, or IT is essential.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and experience with Dev Ops tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins is also essential.
- Strong experience in the AWS cloud.
- Programming languages and navigating security issues.
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM, and CompTIA's Security+.
- Experience with HIPAA regulations and protected health information (PHI).
- Critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environments are necessary for success in this role.
