Job OverviewWCBinc is looking for a Network Administrator to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT networks. The role involves day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all network architecture and devices.
Responsibilities- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Assist with the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, and communications infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components; implement operating‑system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate new technologies into existing systems, including transition and migration of corporate systems.
- Support hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
- Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk, and ensure service continuity during transition.
- Support migration of existing services to cloud environments and migration of users from existing service platforms to new offerings.
- Provide guidance to lower‑level technicians and specialists.
- Work independently and actively participate on integrated teams.
- Apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
- Assist senior technicians, specialists, and managers; perform tasks of lower‑level technicians as needed.
- Provide Operations & Support of LAN/WAN services at 24x7 on‑site and 12x5 during core hours, with two‑hour response time during non‑core hours.
- Provide maintenance and repair services for outside plant cabling at a standard 8x5 service support level.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field.
- 4+ years’ experience working as a Network Administrator.
- DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01‑M, IAT II required.
- Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
- Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
- Manages IT network infrastructure and related processes.
- Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
- Provides installation management, including creating lists of materials, bills of materials, estimating timelines, determining installation team requirements, executing projects, and documenting status.
- Installs equipment racks and other installations in data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user work spaces.
- TS/SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Master’s Degree.
