James Scott LLC is actively seeking a Cloud Subject Matter Expert for an upcoming opportunity. The role will play a vital part in aiding the Government align its cloud strategy with mission‑critical needs within the Mapping, Charting, and GEOSY (MC&G) office, particularly in coordination with customer and broader IC cloud environments.

• 2+ years deploying/managing services in AWS
• Experience with in the GEOINT community
• Hands‑on with Dev Sec Ops  tools (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience in classified cloud environments
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture planning, migrations, and operations
• Familiarity with IC cloud environments including Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM
• Geospatial experience within CIO‑T Cloud Operations is a huge plus
• TS security clearance or higher
• Preference for candidate with bachelor’s degree, but additional experience may substitute

• Lead architecture, deployments, and operations across the MC&G Mission Domain
• Support cloud transitions and coordinate with the Geo CIO‑T Cloud PMO
• Manage cloud artifacts, guidance, standards, and efficiency metrics
• Support cloud budgeting, WAR inputs, and briefings
• Help ensure cloud security postures align with ATO standards

The role is technical but also requires superb coordination skills across Geo customer and IC stakeholder offices. Candidates with cloud, IC experience, and customer‑oriented focus will be in a strong fit.
