Geospatial Analyst - Vertical Obstruction
Location:

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Geospatial Analyst to join our team in St. Louis, MO
.
The Geospatial Analyst is required to support the Vertical Obstructions (VO) program by extracting specific feature data in accordance with NGA data and product specifications. Activities include data acquisition, evaluation, analysis, entry, application, quality control/assurance, and product finishing.
Responsibilities- Collect and validate features (points, lines, and areas) and complete product finishing.
- Enter data using both manual and automated processes.
- Analyze and validate data.
- Extract features from imagery sources.
- Work with large data sets, including manipulation and formatting of data to meet specifications for database ingest.
- Apply knowledge of quality controls, quality management systems, and strategies to maintain the required level of work.
- Resolve feature discrepancies and conflicts.
- Minimum 5 years of GEOINT experience, with the following education/training substitutions:
- Associate’s degree substitutes 2 years.
- Bachelor’s degree substitutes 3 years.
- Master’s degree substitutes 2 years.
- PhD substitutes 3 years.
- Professional certifications count for 0.5 years.
- Basic knowledge of airfield infrastructure such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC towers, and hangars to create AFD products.
- Working knowledge of feature collection, validation, and finishing (points, lines, and areas).
- Knowledge and experience with:
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Sybase
- Python scripting
- Other appropriate geospatial software.
- Experience in Python and VBA scripting, extensive knowledge of PostGIS geodatabases, and ability to debug, rewrite, and align product finishing processes.
- Experience with database administration activities such as maintenance, replication, query performance, validation, quality control, and backup/recovery.
- Knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors.
- Ability to harness all geospatial tools and techniques for relevant and insightful intelligence.
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
