Team Overview
Edward Jones is seeking a highly skilled Sr Security Analyst to support strategic initiatives within the Access Governance organization. This role will serve as a key partner between business stakeholders, Information Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and technology teams to improve identity data quality, access controls, governance processes, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IAM and IGA with a strong focus on metadata cleanup, role re‑engineering, authoritative metadata services, access certifications, metadata governance, and identity lifecycle management. The analyst will drive business analysis efforts supporting enterprise identity governance initiatives while ensuring access decisions are based on accurate, trusted, and governed identity data.
What You’ll Do- Partner with business, security, technology, risk, and compliance teams to strengthen enterprise IGA capabilities and support secure, compliant access management processes.
- Drive initiatives that improve identity data quality, metadata governance, and authoritative source management, ensuring accurate and reliable identity information across the organization.
- Lead role mining, role engineering, and RBAC optimization efforts to simplify access management, reduce risk, and support least‑privilege access principles.
- Support and enhance access certification programs, user access reviews, separation of duties (SoD) controls, and governance processes to meet compliance and audit requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IAM and IGA solutions while partnering with technology teams to implement process improvements and governance enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR, Enterprise Data Management, application owners, and technology teams to improve identity lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, and terminations.
- Develop reporting, metrics, and governance standards that measure program effectiveness, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across identity and access management processes.
- Contribute to strategic IAM transformation initiatives, gaining exposure to enterprise‑scale governance programs, modern IGA platforms, and cross‑functional security and compliance projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of Security Analyst experience supporting IAM, IGA, or Information Security programs.
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
- Experience supporting Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) processes and technologies.
- Experience with:
- Metadata cleanup and data quality initiatives
- Role re‑engineering and role mining
- Access certifications and access reviews
- Authoritative data source management
- Metadata governance and stewardship
- Access provisioning and deprovisioning processes
- Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Separation of Duties (SoD)
- Identity lifecycle management
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile and cross‑functional environments.
- What Could Set You Apart: Experience with SailPoint Identity IQ, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra , or similar IGA platforms.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , SSO, MFA, and Privileged Access Management solutions.
- Understanding of enterprise metadata management and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with in financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks including SOX, FFIEC, SEC, FINRA, and NIST.
- Professional certifications preferred: CISA, CISSP, Security+, SailPoint or Saviynt certifications.
