Overview
Job Summary:
Our client, a leading communications provider, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II to support business and technology initiatives by gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through meetings with business and IT stakeholders.
- Create user stories, process flows, and functional documentation that clearly define business needs.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and ask thoughtful questions to clarify business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA throughout the project lifecycle.
- Answer questions from development and testing teams regarding documented requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure requirements remain up to date throughout the project.
- Research existing processes, related initiatives, and business needs to support project success.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to successful project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience writing user stories and creating process flows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence (or similar documentation tools), and Visio or Lucidchart.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Ability to independently research business processes and existing solutions.
- Experience supporting the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with AI tools to assist with research, documentation, or productivity.
- Experience creating workflow diagrams, business process maps, or functional documentation.
- Exposure to requirements traceability and change management.
- Experience collaborating with development and QA teams.
- Strong communicator who is comfortable speaking with both business and technical teams.
- Curious and proactive with a willingness to research and learn independently.
- Comfortable asking thoughtful questions to uncover complete business requirements.
- Detail‑oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Collaborative team player who works well with developers, testers, and business partners.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Eager to learn, accept feedback, and grow into greater responsibility.
Location:
Hybrid in St. Louis – 4 days onsite; 1 day remote.
Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $43.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; employee‑owned profit sharing (ESOP); and a 401(k) plan.
