Business Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid – St. Louis, MO (4 days onsite)

12 Month Ongoing Contract

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their Mobile IT Division. This individual will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical professional with experience facilitating stakeholder collaboration, documenting requirements, and supporting software delivery throughout the Agile development lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct requirements elicitation sessions and facilitate meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Perform gap analysis to identify missing or conflicting business requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Development teams to refine technical solutions.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation within Jira.
• Review requirements with business stakeholders to ensure alignment and completeness.
• Partner with QA teams to review user stories, validate acceptance criteria, and support testing and defect triage.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation utilizing BPMN process flows and UML notations.
• Analyze downstream and upstream system impacts while identifying cross-functional dependencies.
• Track project progress, document meeting minutes, action items, and support overall project coordination.

What You Bring:

• Experience serving as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strong background in business requirements gathering, analysis, and requirements elicitation.
• Ability to create clear, concise, testable business and functional requirements.
• Experience developing user stories and acceptance criteria within Jira.
• Knowledge of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and UML.
• Experience creating process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
• Strong organizational skills, including coordinating meetings, agendas, documentation, and follow-up action items.
• Ability to independently research business processes and technical documentation using SharePoint and other document repositories.
• Strong understanding of system integrations with the ability to recognize upstream/downstream dependencies and assess impacts across applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Octane (preferred).
• Telecommunications or Mobile industry experience.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Chalk Sites.
• Experience supporting enterprise application delivery from requirements through implementation.
