Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Global Product Integration & Connectivity team is seeking an experienced QA / Product Test & Release Engineer to support the testing, qualification, and release of LSEG products and services across various network delivery environments. This role focuses on ensuring new software releases and hardware platforms can be successfully deployed within client environments.

The individual will work closely with Development, Quality Assurance, Distribution Management, Product Management, and Client Technical Implementation teams. The role requires strong technical expertise and will support critical release stages including pre-sales, Early Access Programs (EAP), beta testing, and Ready for Revenue Generation (RRG).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform product testing, qualification, and release activities across a variety of network environments.
• Conduct end-to-end testing from LSEG Data Center distribution through the client desktop environment.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to drive testing and release activities through completion.
• Identify and prevent technical deployment issues before products reach customer production environments.
• Validate products against customer-site deployment and infrastructure requirements.
• Maintain lab infrastructure that accurately emulates client environments.
• Review technical and installation documentation provided by Development.
• Create or enhance installation documentation and manuals when necessary.
• Contribute to Technical Operations Notices (TON) and Notes for the Record (NFR) confirming product deployment approval.
• Maintain strong technical and product knowledge through training, self-study, and hands-on release activities.
• Support pre-sales, EAP, beta, and RRG release initiatives.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including manual and/or automation testing.
• Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments, including Red Hat and CentOS.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, including Ethernet, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, and routing.
• Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and multicast.
• Experience with Unix/Linux command-line tools and shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with testing and test management tools such as Test Rail.
• Familiarity with unit testing and UI testing tools.
• Working knowledge of Java and SQL is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
