Role Description The Transformation IT Architects & PMO role is an engagement based opportunity, remote and/or onsite position based in St Louis, MO. This role is responsible for designing and overseeing enterprise IT and network architectures that support large-scale telecom and broadband transformations, including OSS/BSS modernization and infrastructure evolution. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business objectives into technology roadmaps, creating solution designs, and collaborating with client stakeholders across technology, operations, and commercial teams.
The role also leads PMO activities such as program planning, governance, risk management, and progress tracking to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals. The position involves preparing clear documentation, facilitating workshops, coordinating cross-functional teams, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT architecture, including enterprise, application, and network architecture within telecom, broadband, or related industries.
- Background in transformation programs such as OSS/BSS modernization, cloud migration, and large-scale system integrations.
- Strong PMO and program management capabilities, including governance, planning, risk and issue management, and stakeholder reporting.
- Skills in process improvement, operational efficiency, and change management to support adoption of new technologies and workflows.
- Ability to translate strategic business goals into actionable technology roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Advanced communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with comfort working with C-level and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in standard project and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project or similar, spreadsheets, presentation tools, workflow tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP, SAFe) are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver measurable results.
