Position Summary
Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking a hands-on Azure and Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to help manage, secure, and support our Microsoft cloud environment. This position will focus on Azure administration, Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, Entra , Intune, security, compliance, and operational support.
This role will work closely with IT, business application owners, security partners, and internal AI stakeholders to strengthen the foundation needed for secure use of Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SharePoint, and other approved AI and automation platforms.
The primary focus of this position is administration, governance, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and support of Azure and Microsoft 365 services. A secondary focus is helping the organization prepare and secure business data so it can be safely used by reporting, analytics, and AI technologies in a controlled, compliant, and supportable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure services, including identity, networking, security, monitoring, storage, and related cloud resources.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive, Teams, Entra , and Microsoft 365 Groups.
- Manage identity and access controls including MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, group management, enterprise applications, SSO, and privileged access.
- Support Microsoft Intune and endpoint management, including device compliance, mobile device management, and application deployment.
- Monitor Azure and Microsoft 365 environments for availability, performance, security, compliance, and operational health.
- Perform patching, maintenance, upgrades, and remediation activities across cloud platforms and related technologies.
- Support Microsoft 365 security, governance, compliance, and data protection initiatives.
- Help secure and organize company data for use with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and other approved AI platforms.
- Participate in security reviews, AI risk assessments, and testing of AI-enabled technologies to ensure proper access controls, data protection, and governance requirements are met.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation, security hardening, access reviews, and implementation of security best practices.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including evidence collection, documentation, control reviews, remediation tracking, and audit responses.
- Work with business teams to identify, classify, and secure information stored within SharePoint, One Drive, Microsoft 365, and related platforms.
- Support application integrations, APIs, enterprise applications, and cloud connectivity initiatives.
- Assist with cloud migrations, automation initiatives, modernization projects, and platform improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, operational standards, security procedures, and support processes.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to support cloud and AI-related initiatives.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for Microsoft cloud services and serve as escalation support when needed.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes following established IT standards.
Required Skills
- 3-5+ years of Microsoft Azure administration experience.
- 3-5+ years of Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra , Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, SSO, and identity management.
- Experience administering SharePoint Online, One Drive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft security, compliance, and governance capabilities.
- Experience supporting security controls, audits, access reviews, and remediation activities.
