Security Architect

Edward Jones is seeking a Security Architect to design and implement secure, scalable solutions that protect client and firm financial data. In this role, you will define security architecture standards, evaluate new technologies, and guide secure design across cloud, applications, data, and infrastructure. You will partner with technology and business leaders to assess risk, drive threat modeling, and ensure regulatory and industry compliance.

The Security Architect will mentor engineers, support incident response, and champion a culture of security, integrity, and continuous improvement in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture for applications, data, cloud, and infrastructure
• Develop and enforce security standards, patterns, and reference architectures
• Conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments for new and existing solutions
• Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies to protect financial and client data
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security in solution design and SDLCEnsure alignment with regulatory, industry, and internal security compliance requirements
• Support and guide incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation planning
• Perform security reviews of cloud deployments, integrations, and third-party solutions
• Mentor engineers and analysts on security best practices and architectural principles
• Champion a security-by-design culture and continuous improvement in security posture
