Application Security Architect

Edward Jones seeks an Application Security Architect to design and implement secure application architectures for a leading finance and insurance firm. You will define security patterns, conduct threat modeling, review designs and code, and guide development teams to build secure, resilient systems that protect client data and financial transactions. Partnering with architecture, engineering, risk, and compliance, you'll champion secure SDLC practices, evaluate security tools, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure application architectures and patterns
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for key applications
• Perform security design and code reviews with development teams
• Define and promote secure SDLC standards and best practices
• Evaluate, implement, and tune application security tools (SAST/DAST/SCA)
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, risk, and compliance teams
• Provide security guidance for cloud-native and API-based solutions
• Drive remediation of vulnerabilities and track risk reduction
• Develop security reference architectures and technical standards
• Mentor engineers on application security concepts and practices
