Systems Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Product Architect to support a leading technology and engineering organization delivering advanced digital transformation, software, and industrial solutions to U.S. government and defense customers.
This position requires 50% travel in the form of 2 weeks onsite in St. Louis, MO, followed by 2 weeks offsite/remote.
As a Product Architect, you will serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, helping customers modernize legacy engineering tools and processes through our client's software and industry-leading technologies. You will design and implement solutions that accelerate product adoption, enable model-centric business practices, and advance customers’ digital transformation goals while collaborating across technical teams, program leadership, and customer stakeholders to drive successful delivery.
Responsibilitiesof the Product Architect:
- Partner with customers to understand business goals, assess existing technology stacks and processes, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through our client's PLM solutions.
- Gather, define, and document functional/nonfunctional requirements, use cases, and business processes through customer workshops and SME collaboration.
- Perform fit-gap assessments and process reengineering using industry best practices and client solution templates.
- Support solution strategy and technical approach development, reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer requirements.
- Lead and support solution validation activities, including test planning, test case execution, test data preparation, and requirements traceability.
- Advise on data migration, legacy system integration, and production issue resolution in coordination with customer administrators, SMEs, and client support teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, provide technical thought leadership, and support project management and quality activities to ensure successful delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or equivalent PLM knowledge and experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring Teamcenter using BMIDE.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Teamcenter BOM and CAD management.
- 3+ years of experience implementing and/or supporting Teamcenter solutions.
- 3+ years of experience working in customer-facing environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a technical consulting environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% in the form of working onsite in St. Louis, MO - 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off*
- Active security clearance OR eligibility to obtain government security clearance*
- Preferred:
- Experience with PLM systems and associated data structures/constructs.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Manufacturing (MFG).
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) and/or Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO).
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Visualization.
- Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000
