The DBA will be responsible for the performance, availability, security, and reliability of the company's database environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Microsoft SQL Server and Azure background who enjoys working in a growing, technology‑driven organization.
Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across production and development environments.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Manage database backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high‑availability solutions.
- Support and administer databases hosted in Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL and related database services.
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain database security, access controls, and permissions.
- Partner with developers, infrastructure, and IT teams to support applications and resolve database‑related issues.
- Assist with database architecture, capacity planning, and scalability as the company continues to grow.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance‑tuning best practices.
- Participate in projects involving cloud migration, system integrations, and technology modernization.
- 3+ years of professional DBA experience.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑based database environments.
- Strong understanding of SQL, database performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery processes.
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability and uptime requirements.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server and the broader Microsoft technology ecosystem.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work collaboratively with development and infrastructure teams.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
