Position: US - Engineer (Entry)

We are seeking a talented technical professional to drive innovation within our Quality Systems platform through strategic development and integration initiatives. This role offers the unique opportunity to bridge business intelligence with technical development, focusing on transforming data workflows and optimizing processes that directly impact manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in modernizing our technology stack by integrating existing solutions with S/4 Hana and Google Cloud platforms, while maintaining and enhancing our current Pipeline Pilot and visualization infrastructure.

Working collaboratively with engineers, IT developers, and end users, you will design and deliver maintainable data pipelines that provide critical insights to the shop floor. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable solutions that drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise within a small team environment to understand, design, and deliver maintainable data pipelines
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Pipeline Pilot and Spot Fire platforms
  • Build and deploy datasets based on user requirements for visualization and reporting across multiple platforms with emphasis on quality and relational integrity
  • Document and provide clear data lineage for all visualizations to ensure transparency and traceability
  • Support Dev Ops initiatives and build robust deployment infrastructure
  • Assist in creating sprint schedules, managing support tickets, and tracking bugs
  • Develop data visualizations and drive reporting solutions based on feedback from engineers, IT developers, and end users
  • Gather requirements and investigate business needs to create data reports
  • Collaborate with managers, regional automation teams, and process engineers across various sites
  • Optimize workflow and data processing to deliver actionable data to manufacturing operations
  • Manage and communicate complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines
Skills:
  • Pipeline Pilot development including component authoring, protocol design, and web services
  • Google Big Query proficiency
  • Iron Python scripting and data functions
  • Information Links and Automation Services
  • SQL, Python, R, SAS, or other common programming languages
  • Data process automation and scheduling
  • Database theory and data architecture
  • Dev Ops practices and deployment process flow concepts
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-directed learning and innovation
  • Time estimation and deadline management
Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Life Science, Quality Systems, or related field
  • 3-5 years building production solutions with Biovia Pipeline Pilot
  • 3+ years working with TIBCO Spotfire or PowerBI
  • Experience working in Quality Assurance environments
  • Demonstrated history of managing complex projects and meeting tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of innovative solutions and self-led technology discoveries
  • Experience with Denodo or data virtualization preferred
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
