The Gund Company is seeking a Senior Server Cloud Engineer to design, secure, automate, and continuously improve our enterprise compute, virtualization, identity, backup, and cloud platforms. This senior technical role supports reliable global operations, cyber resilience, and scalable business growth across a multi-site environment.

This is more than a traditional infrastructure position. You will influence long-term platform strategy while translating enterprise standards into practical, resilient solutions that support modernization, acquisitions, facility expansion, and evolving business needs.

• Design and engineer secure, scalable enterprise compute, virtualization, cloud, and identity platforms.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, platform lifecycle management, and technology roadmap initiatives.
• Administer and advance VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , Azure, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Establish platform standards, architecture documentation, governance practices, and lifecycle plans across global locations. Improve backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and resiliency capabilities through architecture, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Advance infrastructure security, vulnerability management, modern identity controls, and proactive risk reduction.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency using Power Shell, Infrastructure as Code concepts, and repeatable engineering practices.
• Partner with cybersecurity, IT operations, business leaders, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Support infrastructure integration for acquisitions, plant expansions, and company growth across North America and Europe.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and trusted-advisor guidance on enterprise architecture and platform decisions.

• Standardized enterprise compute, cloud, and identity services that improve consistency and scalability.
• Stronger cyber resilience through modern identity, security, backup, and recovery controls.
• Clear platform lifecycle roadmaps and modernization strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Reduced platform risk through automation, proactive vulnerability management, and disciplined standards.
• Reliable infrastructure that enables global growth, acquisitions, and facility expansion.

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in VMware vSphere administration, architecture, and lifecycle management.
• Strong Windows Server engineering and enterprise lifecycle-management experience.
• Advanced experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , and hybrid identity design and management.
• Experience designing backup and recovery architecture and planning and testing disaster recovery capabilities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, hybrid cloud architecture, and cloud governance.
• Experience with infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and multi-site enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, architecture, documentation, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to balance strategic platform engineering with practical operational execution.
