Assistant Attorney General — Consumer Protection Section, No-Call Unit, St. Louis
The Missouri Attorney General's Office is actively seeking attorneys with excellent credentials for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Consumer Protection Section, No-Call Unit in St. Louis.
The No-Call Unit handles enforcement of the Missouri No-Call Law and Telemarketing Law, which regulate telemarketing calls to Missouri residents. The Unit distributes the No-Call list to registered telemarketers, files complaints received through a hotline, investigates potential violations, and litigates civil enforcement actions. The attorney in charge of the No-Call Unit will manage a staff of three, direct all investigations related to telemarketing practices, draft and file civil litigation in appropriate courts, collaborate with other state and federal partners, and respond to legislative inquiries regarding the No-Call law.

- Ability to handle multiple projects while managing a sizable caseload.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Courtroom and trial experience.
- Handling pre-filing investigations, discovery, and motion practice.
- Drafting civil petitions.
- Resolving claims by settlement.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to public service.
- Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy.
