A St. Louis-based law firm is seeking a Corporate/Transactional Litigation Attorney to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys a mix of litigation and deal‑related work across sophisticated matters, with a lower billable‑hour target and a strong bonus structure tied to performance.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and transactional materials.
- Manage matters spanning real estate, banking, corporate, M&A, or estate planning.
- Assist in negotiations and settlement discussions to achieve client objectives.
- Review and analyze documents and evidence to prepare for litigation and transactional proceedings.
- Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and internal procedures.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to develop effective legal strategies.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations impacting multiple practice areas.
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- Prior experience in litigation and/or transactional law strongly preferred.
- Experience across real estate, banking, corporate, M&A, or estate planning is a plus.
- Strong writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Partial book of business ($200+).
- Low billable‑hour target.
- Great bonus structure with meaningful upside potential.
- 15% origination on all clients brought to the firm.
