* Job Description:
** The EU Supply Chain Leader directs all supply chain and logistics activities at our Afinitas production facilities in Denmark and Germany, in coordination with Afinitas Global Supply Chain strategies. This position will partner closely with Operations Leaders at each facility to ensure timely delivery on equipment and aftermarket orders. The EU Supply Chain Leader will develop a consolidated supply base for all EU orders, focusing on improving cost, quality and delivery adherence by the suppliers.
This leader will guide colleagues to ensure growth and development is available to all team members, measured with objective performance indicators.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES*
* · Manage team of colleagues responsible for purchasing tasks in support of Afinitas sales in Europe.
· Ensure execution of purchasing activities and material availability for equipment, mold and aftermarket orders in the EU.
· Adhere to agreed upon performance metrics including: project cost adherence, material pricing trends, inventory investment, supplier quality & project on-time delivery
· Develop and execute to a preferred EU supplier list that can be shared across Denmark, Germany and Italy. This preferred supplier list should be migrated to standard terms of sale and expectations of quality, cost and delivery.
· Monitor and assess supplier performance and cost-effective practices.
· Manage critical global suppliers, both EU and non-EU as assigned by the Global Supply Chain team. Escalation and resolution of key issues with global suppliers.
· Lead import/export logistics, including data accuracy related to HTS codes, tariff estimates, container utilization & expected ship dates.
· Participate in ERP blueprinting and execution for eventual EU migration to Afinitas global ERP. Ensure all critical purchasing processes are documented for future execution in new system.
· Serve as direct partner of Site Operations leaders, providing timely update of supply chain activities that will influence successful project delivery.
· Lead process improvement initiatives related to transactional processes, material cost improvement, and quality & on-time delivery improvement.
· Ensure local application of Afinitas or Barry-Wehmiller supplier agreements.
· Provide executive level analytical reports and summaries on key performance indicators or information requests
· Receive and execute special project assignments as assigned.
· Leadership of the EU Supply chain teams in both our Denmark and German production facilities.
** QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES*
* · University Degree with focus in Business, Operations, or Engineering.
· 10+ year as in supply chain management roles of increasing responsibility, including leadership of direct reports.
· Strong analytical skillset, including proficiency in Business Analytics, Excel.
· Understanding of ERP software with direct experience in purchasing tasks.
· Planning and project management expertise.
· Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining accuracy.
· Strong communication, relationship building, problem solving and negotiating skills.
· Experience in manufacturing environments.
** WORK ENVIRONMENT
