Category Management Specialist - Supply Chain Management

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Category Management Specialist manages key Marketing categories, including digital B2B experience management, digital B2C product management, and customer experience research and design. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver value, optimize costs, and support effective supplier engagement.

• Lead category initiatives by partnering with Marketing and cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
• Drive supplier sourcing and negotiations through RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to optimize cost, quality, and performance
• Draft and manage contracts
  , including master service agreements (MSAs), statements of work (SOWs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and related addendums
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier partners
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance processes
• Develop and manage contractual roadmaps to support both near-term needs and long-term strategy
• Ensure risk mitigation and compliance by aligning contracts with company standards and business requirement

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.

• Manage assigned Supply Chain Management categories, including strategy development, supplier selection, implementation, and recommendations for enhancements
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand objectives, develop category plans and/or contractual roadmaps, advise on various supply alternatives, and provide cost analyses on owned categories and product portfolios
• Manage supplier selection process, evaluate processes and competitive pricing/bids, conduct sourcing reviews, and analyze proposals to ensure the best-fit supplier is recommended to the business
• Lead business partners through RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs (RFxs) in the procurement system, and translate requirements into agreements and/or manage contract negotiations as necessary
• Draft and maintain contracts, such as master service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, addendums, and other related documents
• Evaluate and report on existing supplier performance and expenditures through annual reviews, contractual audits, and on-site supplier assessment visits, as needed
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners, act as liaison between the company, accounts payable, and assigned suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
• Resolve supply chain vendor performance issues, contractual/compliance problems, or supply chain constraints
• Ensure security and privacy programs and policies are incorporated into sourcing and contract negotiations
• Stay abreast of technologies, materials, and logistical opportunities to reduce cost and improve speed to market

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two (2+) years of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Three (3+) years of Supply Chain Management experience with Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and Financial Analysis
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

• Demonstrated sourcing (RFx) experience
• Source to Pay/Coupa/Supply Chain related technology experience
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification(s)
