2nd Shift, Distribution Center Planner (Wave/Transportation)

The Planner supports the development and maintenance of the outbound shipping schedule, wave planning, assists with expediting high-priority orders, and helps facilitate communication with customer service teams located outside the distribution center. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced position that works closely with the master planner and reports directly to the Transportation Planning Manager.

• Support the planning team and assist with communication between transportation, operations, and customer service.
• Prepare the outbound truckload shipping schedule for the following work day.
• Monitor on‑time pickup performance of carriers and report issues to management.
• Work with the DC Operations team to help ensure orders are processed on time to meet the shipping schedule.
• Assist the DC Operations team in gathering information to estimate labor requirements for the shipping schedule.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and transportation providers to help expedite high‑priority orders as needed.
• Participate in process improvement activities as directed.
• Develop a working knowledge of the Transportation Management System and Distribution Management System (DM Plus).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or 2–3 years of progressive distribution planning related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in planning and scheduling (distribution experience preferred, but manufacturing experience acceptable).
• Six Sigma experience a plus.
• APICS certification a plus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong software skills.
