Description

Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for Clementine’s Ice Cream. The primary goal is to ensure that the Clementine’s procures high-quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while adhering to proper processes, policies, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management: Research, evaluate and select vendors, manage vendor relationships.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate contract terms, pricing and service-level agreements
  • Purchasing
    : acquire goods and services, including but not limited to supplies, raw materials and equipment for manufacturing and retail channels. Execute purchase orders, coordinate and track deliveries, ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Demand Forecasting: Manage raw material inventory levels, including forecasting needs based on production schedules
  • Strategic Sourcing: Mitigate supply chain risks including identifying and setting up a secondary supplier program. Monitor and analyze purchasing and vendor data to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness. Identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor industry trends and develop sourcing strategies together with the CFO
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Develop company procurement policies and enforce compliance
  • Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field required
  • At least seven to ten years’ of buying experience
  • Proven ability to negotiate
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software systems (Fishbowl Inventory experience is a plus)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

    High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information, integrity and trust is a must
  • Capable of building relationships within all levels of the organization
