Job Title: Purchasing Assistant – Heavy Maintenance

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to support their maintenance and engineering activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑paced environment with a strong focus on operational efficiency, cost control, and technical support.

• Source and procure materials required for heavy maintenance activities
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place orders
• Ensure timely delivery of parts, tools, and equipment
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
• Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to support operational needs
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and policies

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience working in a maintenance or engineering environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Right to live and work in the UK

• Experience with ERP or procurement systems
• Aviation or MRO environment experience
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
