Job description Summary of PositionThe Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for designing, leading, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain for a radiopharmaceutical company operating under stringent regulatory, time, and safety constraints. This role oversees the procurement, manufacturing logistics, warehousing, and distribution of products with short half-lives, ensuring on-time delivery of life‑saving diagnostic and therapeutic agents to patients and clinical sites.
This role is accountable for procurement strategy, supplier relationship management, cost reduction, long‑term contracting, and supply continuity for critical raw materials, components, services, and external partners. The successful candidate will balance the unique demands of radioactive material handling, isotope supply security, and just‑in‑time delivery with cost control, quality, and full regulatory compliance.
Essential Functions Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with commercial, clinical, and manufacturing objectives.
- Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies that support manufacturing continuity, commercial objectives, cost reduction, supplier resilience, and long-term business needs.
- Build, mentor, and lead a cross‑functional team spanning procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, planning, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
- Serve as a member of the senior operations leadership team, contributing to enterprise‑wide decision‑making.
- Develop and lead procurement strategies for direct materials, indirect materials, services, logistics providers, contract manufacturers, and other critical external partners.
- Negotiate and manage long‑term supplier agreements that improve cost, service, quality, supply continuity, and risk mitigation.
- Identify, qualify, and develop supplier options to reduce single‑source exposure and strengthen business continuity.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Commercial teams to align sourcing decisions with production requirements, quality expectations, regulatory obligations, and business priorities.
- Drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, supplier performance, and procurement process discipline without compromising quality, safety, or compliance.
- Establish supplier performance measures, business reviews, escalation processes, and accountability mechanisms for critical suppliers and service providers.
- Work cross‑functionally and intracompany to secure isotope and critical raw material supply, de‑risk single‑source dependencies, support long‑term sourcing strategies, and mitigate global supply disruptions.
- Manage relationships with reactor/cyclotron suppliers, generators, and precursor manufacturers.
- Lead or partner on supplier negotiations, capacity commitments, long‑term agreements, and contingency plans for isotope, precursor, generator, and other critical supply needs.
- Establish contingency and business continuity plans for isotope shortages.
