As a Maintenance Director in a skilled nursing facility, you will need to ensure all is working properly in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will need to have a strong basis of mechanical troubleshooting, plumbing, HVAC, and fire and safety procedures. Long term care experience a plus.

TECHNICAL

• Ensures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff and visitors in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures.
• Requires full range of body motion.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Maintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.
• Understands department budget.
• Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, Sate and Corporate requirements.
• May train personnel to meet Center needs.
• Participates in assigned meetings and in-services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year experience in a long term care center preferred
• Ability to read and write English for business necessity
• Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
• One year experience in basic trades preferred
• Working knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred

• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
