Day Porter (Custodian)

St. Louis, MO | $16.00 per hour | Full-time, 1st Shift (5-9am)

As a Day Porter, you keep buildings clean and orderly by monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, offices, and other spaces. You may perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Police common areas for trash and tidiness.
• Clean entry‑way glass, inside and outside surfaces.
• Police restrooms multiple times daily to pick up incidental trash.
• Restock restroom consumable items as necessary.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floors and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office space.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Clean furniture.
• Notify supervisor of need for repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Monitor and stock cleaning supplies and chemicals in specified areas.
• Work alone without direct supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent (high school degree preferred).
• 1‑year custodial experience preferred.
• Availability for 5-9am shift (M‑F).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
