About This Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician maintains the safety, appearance, functionality, and overall operation of the corporate office and warehouse facilities. As a member of the Corporate Services Team, you will perform preventative maintenance, building repairs, facility inspections, warehouse support, and general upkeep of company property.

You will work onsite. You will report to the Asset Supervisor.

You will be a hands-on maintenance resource while supporting facility operations, contractor coordination, warehouse organization, storage optimization, and workplace safety projects. The Facilities Maintenance Technician also participates on the Safety Committee and contributes to emergency preparedness activities.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities
  • Perform routine building inspections, facility rounds, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and assets, including lighting, plumbing, doors, ceilings, drywall, flooring, furniture, and other basic electrical components.
  • Complete general maintenance tasks including drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing repairs, lighting repairs, furniture assembly and repair, and other building repairs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of office, warehouse, storage, and exterior areas, including window cleaning and trash removal.
  • Coordinate and assist vendors and contractors performing on-site work.
  • Track and document preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and project activities.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, package distribution, inventory movement.
  • Respond to facility service requests and employee maintenance needs promptly.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, ladders, lifts, and other equipment safely.
  • Participate in Safety Committee activities and maintain compliance with company safety procedures and facility standards.
  • Support office moves, furniture installations, workstation setup, and special projects.
  • Help with warehouse reorganization projects, including storage optimization, inventory consolidation, material movement, and workspace improvements.
  • Maintain warehouse aisles, storage areas, and equipment observing company safety standards and housekeeping requirements.
  • Identify maintenance, housekeeping, and workspace improvement opportunities and address or communicate them with management.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two or more years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting and performing general building repairs.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, drywall, painting, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Operate standard hand and power tools safely.
  • Manage changing priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for workplace organization and process improvement.
  • Maintain warehouse, storage, and work areas.
  • Take initiative on assigned responsibilities, and complete work thoroughly.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Commercial office and warehouse maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with vendors and contractors.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with basic HVAC systems and building automation troubleshooting.
