Location: St. Louis
CHERRY COATINGS is an innovator and pioneer in advanced techniques for commercial projects, specializing in Architectural, Shop, and Floor Coatings. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with at least 3 years in commercial paint estimating and/or project management to lead large U.S. projects (minimum 1 year, often longer). The role requires comfort with short‑term relocation before application.
Responsibilities- Establish a safety‑first culture and mentor the team.
- Deliver complete bid and cost evaluations, leveraging expertise to exceed expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Respond to RFPs and present formal proposals for projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and collaborate with Operations & Field Management.
- Develop and monitor preconstruction meeting schedules.
- Present job cost, scheduling, and budget updates at regular intervals.
- Review project documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Develop innovative, creative solutions tailored to each project.
- Identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
- Lead, manage, and motivate project teams throughout all phases.
- Implement corrective actions to improve performance and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations and applicable laws.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years managing commercial paint projects.
- Exceptional commercial paint knowledge.
- Advanced understanding of construction site safety expectations.
- Fluency in reading plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Proficient with Planswift, Procore, Building Connected, Plan Grid, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication, listening, and feedback skills.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Financial acumen with profit indicator tracking.
- Resilience under challenging and stressful conditions.
- Professional pushback and cooperative leadership.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
