Stratum NRG has partnered with a growing project-based organization is seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager to lead planning and schedule control efforts across large-scale capital projects. This position plays a critical role in developing baseline schedules, tracking progress, identifying risk, and providing leadership with actionable schedule intelligence.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in project sequencing, resource planning, and schedule analysis, along with the ability to collaborate closely with operations and field leadership.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage detailed project schedules from preconstruction through execution
- Partner with project leadership to establish approved baseline schedules
- Facilitate planning sessions and coordination meetings with cross-functional teams
- Update schedules based on field progress and analyze impacts to milestone dates and critical path
- Evaluate production data and forecast schedule performance
- Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Perform scenario modeling to assess recovery strategies and alternative execution plans
- Maintain proper documentation to support change management and risk reduction
- Review and evaluate schedules prepared by internal teams and third-party contractors
- Integrate labor, cost, and resource data into scheduling models where applicable
- Contribute to process improvements related to project controls and planning standards
- Provide mentoring and training to team members on scheduling best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in project scheduling within construction or capital project environments
- Demonstrated understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, materials management, and workforce planning
- Experience supporting large-scale or industrial-type projects preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including resource and cost loading
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) or productivity tracking methodologies
- Experience forecasting performance and identifying schedule exposure before it impacts milestones
