Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support large and complex initiatives within their select portfolio(s). This contract role will focus on coordinating cross‑functional project activities, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring milestones are executed according to established plans and governance standards. Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders, client segment leaders, technology partners, and vendor teams. This role contributes project management expertise within a strategic portfolio but does not carry firm‑level ownership or supervisory authority.
RequiredSkills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10+ years of hands‑on project management experience within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives or large program work streams.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools such as Clarity, Jira, Aha!, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions, document requirements, and support structured decision‑making processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across business and technology functions.
- Experience delivering projects within Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Background in investment advisory platforms, wealth management, or fee‑based product environments.
- Experience working within structured PMO governance environments.
- Support project teams in identifying tasks, timelines, interdependencies, and resource needs.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with established project plans.
- Apply standard project management methodologies and risk management concepts to drive structured delivery.
- Manage day‑to‑day project activities and ensure milestones are tracked and delivered according to schedule.
- Facilitate communication across delivery teams, business partners, and vendor resources.
- Identify, document, and elevate risks, issues, or delays to Edward Jones project leaders for decision‑making.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, status updates, and executive‑ready materials.
- Monitor progress against scope, schedule, quality, and risk expectations.
- Maintain issue and risk logs, proposing mitigation strategies for leadership review.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to internal project leadership teams.
