We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the successful execution of construction projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven experience in construction project management, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, project teams, and client expectations.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Construction Project Manager, based in St. Louis, MO. The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. Responsibilities include supervising construction teams, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and addressing challenges to ensure seamless project execution.
This position requires a professional demeanor and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from start to finish, including organizing schedules, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Prepare and track project schedules including preconstruction and post construction activities.
- Manage, track, and report on all project variables including financials and progress.
- Work with all authorities having jurisdiction to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Conduct OAC meetings with project team members. Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Ensure all work is executed in compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Resolve issues related to design, construction, scheduling, logistics, and change orders proactively, efficiently, and fairly.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, manage documentation, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure project requirements and specifications are being met.
- Review RFIs, ASIs, COs, pay applications, and all other project documentation.
- Proven track record of success in construction project management.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with poise and composure in difficult situations as well as articulate topics of varying complexity to client executives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Procore.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
