Headmaster Responsibilities

• Foster and strengthen Priory’s Catholic and Benedictine identity through mission‑centered leadership and close collaboration with the Board of Governors.
• Cultivate a vibrant and inclusive school culture rooted in the Benedictine charism of prayer, community, and hospitality.
• Guide and empower the leadership team – the architects of academic and co‑curriculum learning – to advance academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and faith integration, forming young men in mind, body, and spirit.
• Expand opportunities for leadership development, service, spiritual growth, and cultural engagement.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, effective personnel practices, and safe, supportive learning environments.
• Collaborate with the Abbot, Board of Governors, and leadership team on strategic planning, enrollment management, and school‑wide operations.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors to ensure ongoing financial stability.
• Steward resources and budgets responsibly, aligning them with mission priorities and long‑term sustainability.

The search committee is on a fast‑track to identify and secure the next Headmaster. Candidates are expected to be available to assume the role in July 2027.
