Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 / hour
OverviewThe Quality Department Electrical Wiring and Controls Specialist is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying electrical wiring and control systems to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role supports quality assurance efforts by identifying defects, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to drive product quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect electrical wiring, control panels, and electrical assemblies for compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Verify proper installation, routing, labeling, and termination of electrical components.
- Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and related devices.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues identified during inspection or testing.
- Document inspection results, test data, and nonconformances accurately and clearly.
- Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, electrical codes, and company quality procedures.
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or controls preferred.
- Experience with electrical wiring, industrial controls, or electrical panel assembly—preferably in a quality or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
- Familiarity with PLC-based control systems and industrial electrical components.
- Proficient with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and continuity testers.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
