* This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

* Job Summary:

* Under limited supervision, perform mechanical repairs or fabrication in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

* Essential Job Functions:

*
* + Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.

+ Knowledge of drives, motors, sheaves and general mechanical operations

+ Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery

+ Maintains a good attendance record

+ Work various shift lengths including weekends and holidays

+ Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)

+ Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.

+ Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.

+ Conducts daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.

+ Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facility

+ Maintain documentation required to perform job duties

+ May perform other duties as assigned.

+ Participate in company planned operations training

+ Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, Non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc
