Description

The Post-Processing Supervisor is integral to the successful operation of the cultivation facility as they oversee the Flower Pack team to maintain both compliance and production. They must track employee progress and all functions of the department, including updating SOPs and keeping all data tracking systems accurate. They must support daily operation of various machines by troubleshooting, documenting relevant practices, scheduling maintenance, and providing operators with training to ensure the team is up to date with changes.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all functions of the Post-Processing Flower Pack team which include but are not limited to scheduling, packaging products, rework, and batch record keeping
  • Ability to review data and navigate Microsoft Suite applications
  • Keep all processes of packaging room up to date and compliant
  • Daily production plans reviewed and executed; with the ability to develop solutions to any barrier that may arise with the support of the Post Processing management team
  • Complete quality control audits as required across different process path functions
  • Input data into state compliance software and internal software
  • Maintain data records around productivity and quality metrics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, adjust, and maintain complex, high-speed industrial and packaging machinery
  • Hands-on experience with automated production equipment, including setup, line balancing, jam/rollback prevention, tension adjustment, and continuous process monitoring
  • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled systems, including understanding basic ladder logic behavior, interpreting HMI alarms, and supporting troubleshooting steps directed by maintenance or controls teams
  • Ability to safely perform tag-in/tag-out (LOTO) procedures in accordance with facility safety standards
  • Experience in sensor calibration and tuning for photoeyes, proximity sensors, encoders, and other automation components
  • Familiarity with safety relays, interlocks, and machine guarding systems, including recognizing faults and responding appropriately
  • Capable of performing routine adjustments and minor mechanical repairs, including alignment, tensioning, lubrication, and component replacement
Qualifications and Education
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Proven experience operating mechanical or automated production equipment
  • Blackbird or similar preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
  • This job requires strong leadership and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with FDA labeling and packaging regulations (FPLA, CGMP)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Availability to work weekends & occasional holidays
  • All employees must adhere to local and state laws and regulations related to cannabis production and keep up to date on changes to those laws and regulations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a State Agent
Essential Job Functions
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods (4+ hours) of time
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending and lifting up to 30+ pounds, climbing and working above shoulder height for extended periods, sliding under trays on creepers to perform maintenance, and pushing carts and wheelbarrows
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in a production environment with heavy machinery and environmental considerations such as loud repetitive noises and temperature fluctuations
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting at $23.00 per hour, with room to negotiate based on previous experience and fit
