The Production Associate packs by hand, Andy's Seasonings Inc.'s custom breading, batters, and seasoned salt. Workers inspect individually packaged product to ensure quality standards are met prior to assembly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, packing product into case units, preparing paperwork to document packing activities, palletizing, and performing a variety of miscellaneous functions to advance production goals.
Position ScheduleThis is a full-time, permanent position, Monday through Friday. A typical workday averages eight hours in length, with occasional Saturdays. 1st Shift (5:00a.m.
-1:30 p.m.), 2nd Shift (11:30am-7:30pm)
$17.00 - $17.50 per hour
Major Responsibilities- Inspect finished goods prior to packaging and assembly.
- Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
- Maintain clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas.
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
- Sort, measure, weigh, and count products and materials to verify product weights and measurements.
- Achieve numerical packaged case/finished goods targets.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, food safety requirements, and safety regulations.
- Ability to learn machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to review work orders and production schedules to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
- Ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Functions successfully as part of a team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, climb, talk, hear, and operate computer keyboard. Must be able to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Must be able to quickly move your hands together with your arms, or be able to use hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Job may require reaching at shoulder level and below waist. May occasionally/frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pound objects depending upon area of production assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required
ExperienceOne (1) year of experience in production/food manufacturing support role.
