Veteran Owned! An independently owned and operated Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting franchisee is seeking to hire energetic and dependable Paint Prepper/Detailers to assist Paint Technicians in preparing vehicles for painting. Experience is a plus but not essential. We will train the right attitude. Workdays and hours are Monday - Friday 8 to 5. No weekends! Apply now for this great opportunity!

Responsibilities- Assist Paint Technician in preparing vehicle for painting including cleaning, blocking, sanding, masking, and more.
- Wash vehicles to remove dirt, grease and debris from painted surfaces
- Prepare vehicle for repair by priming and sanding parts and panels for painting
- Locate and remove imperfections on panels
- Apply tape to protect unpainted surfaces such as bumpers, windows, chrome trim, etc
- Smooth and sand unmasked surfaces
- Work closely with Paint Technician mixing paint
- After vehicle is painted, remove tape and clean, wet-sand and buff freshly painted surfaces
- Inspect for quality workmanship, noting any unprimed areas, runs, etc.
- Prepare vehicle for customer delivery
- Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Experience with auto body sanding, masking, etc. is preferred.
Training is provided - Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time
- A good work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication skills and pays attention to details
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Working knowledge of body shop equipment and tools is a plus - Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent
