Manufacturing Assembly Technician
Location:
Maryland Heights, MO | Job Type: Full-time, on-site | Starting Rate: $20 per hour. Pay is subject to overtime based on hours worked.
We are looking for a dependable Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble components and finished products while ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the production process. You will work closely with production leaders and team members to follow assembly procedures, maintain a safe and organized work area, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
What You'll Do- Assembly & Production
- Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to specifications
- Read and follow work instructions and established procedures
- Ensure materials and equipment are available before beginning work
- Align, fit, and assemble parts accurately and efficiently
- Meet production goals and performance expectations
- Quality & Safety
- Inspect assembled products for quality and accuracy
- Identify and report defective parts, equipment issues, or process concerns
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain tools and work areas according to established standards
- Team & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Assist with other production-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable work ethic and consistent attendance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience
- Experience working with hand tools and assembly equipment
- Manufacturing and production environment
- Work performed in a facility where temperatures may vary depending on seasonal conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment
- Standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand movements required throughout the shift
- Moderate noise levels typical of a production setting
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle tools, materials, and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform close visual inspection of parts and finished products
