Welder / Fitter Responsibilities:

• Fit-up steel pieces for welding fixtures and jigs
• Ensures proper alignment and dimensional specifications of every fit
• Weld or tack parts into various sub-assemblies or complete assemblies

Requirements for Welder / Fitter:

• Certificate from college or technical school; or five-seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience
• Experienced welder with possible skills in Subarc (SAW), with experience in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SWAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) preferred
• Fitting experience preferred
• Able to kneel, squat, crawl, or stand for extended periods of time inside a pipe
• Able to work at heights
• Experience using an overhead crane to move product from one location to another
• Knowledgeable of welding technology, equipment types, applications, and material characteristics
• Able to read a tape measure and properly apply to pipe sizes
• Able to use hand grinders and other miscellaneous hand tools
• Team player with leadership skills and abilities
