Senior Test & Evaluation Lab Technician

This employer is seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to join a team in Berkeley, Missouri. This position provides test and evaluation technician support in a lab or an aircraft production environment. The main responsibilities include fabricating and maintaining the instrumentation system, installing a high volume of sensors and associated wiring onto aircraft parts and assemblies, and troubleshooting electrical circuits and wiring.

Oversee, plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes. Design, fabricate, build, and analyze test systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies. Coordinate test requirements and determine test methods and capabilities. Conduct system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout, and teardown. Conduct tests, analyze data, and document results. Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and test-related problems.

Coordinate test laboratory activities, maintenance, and repairs. Coach and train others and work under consultative direction.

Education:

Associate's degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 4 or more years of equivalent technical experience.

Experience:

4+ years of strain gaging experience. Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or a variety of electrical components and associated equipment. Experience interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and definitions.

This role may require working for periods while standing, kneeling, working from stair ladders, mobile lift platforms, scissor lifts, or boom lifts. Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection and hard toe shoes are required. This position is for 1st shift.
