Ingredient Solutions delivers nutritional, functional wheat- and pea-based ingredients aligned with consumer trends. The company operates in locations across the Midwestern U.S., and overseas in Northern Ireland and Mexico.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Supervise, on the production floor, all line teams to achieve high productivity levels and maintain all quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate the work between departments, i.e., label control, processing, production, maintenance, and warehouse.
- Ensure that the bottling operation is adequately staffed for each assigned shift.
- Coordinate bottling operations for all bottling lines.
- Comply and enforce all necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Safety requirements, Company Policies, and Union Contract.
- Ensure all necessary Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is used at all times within the production area.
- Minimize unplanned downtime and lost production through the constant monitoring of the line performance and operating procedure.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the production area.
- Lead all GMP/Food Safety, and Sanitation objectives within the Facility.
- Identify and act on improvement opportunities on the production lines.
- Champion lean initiatives such as the 5's and safety improvements.
Administration
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Union contract.
- Review production schedule frequently to ensure schedule demands are met.
- Create monthly reports to include but not limited utilization, downtime, output, etc.
- Ensure all necessary Quality Control paperwork is completed correctly.
- Minimize unplanned downtime and lost production through the constant monitoring of the line performance and operating procedure.
- Ensure all product changes are performed correctly as identified by the production work ticket.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the operation and its requirements in terms of machine operation, scheduling, budgets, housekeeping, and safety. Maintain knowledge of bottling line equipment to communicate with the maintenance employees regarding machine malfunction and corrective action.

Training and Auditing
- Coordinate and ensure all necessary safety training for affected employees is completed and communicated to Human Resources and the Safety Manager as required.
- Provide necessary training to new employees or to existing employees that bid into a new classification.
- Provide objective performance evaluations every 30 days to employees in training.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3+ years in a supervisory role within the food and/or beverage manufacturing field with a strong
- understanding of the manufacturing processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to lead the Bottling department, providing direct employees.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion.
- Ability to work in a team environment with peer department managers and other supervisors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills required to effectively manage production line employees.
