- Responsibilities:
Operate shredding plant equipment including input and output conveyors, the shredder, and downstream equipment;
Visually observe and direct activities of the shredding plant to maintain material flow and prevent production disruptions;
Monitor and adjust shredder settings and material input to maintain production efficiency;
Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and routine preventative maintenance tasks;
Operate heavy equipment such as material handlers, front-end loaders, and manlifts when not shredding or during maintenance
