As an Assembler
, you will assemble metal products, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor.
Hours are Monday
- Friday, 7 am- 3:30 pm.
- Assemble products by fastening parts together using bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners
- Operate hand tools or portable power tools to assist in the assembly operation
- Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled and/or following blueprints
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts
- Frequent standing, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in calibration of final units and other electronic, electrical, or mechanical assemblies
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to read simple blueprints
- Ability to follow directions and have attention to details
