What is the day to day like for a CNC Machinist
- Plan, program, and make parts to meet drawing specifications
- Collaborate with highly skilled machinists to determine the best possible processing for parts requiring multiple operations
- Grow in a culture that promotes continuous improvement of both work and self
- Liberty to experiment with new technologies and practices
- Challenging work that forces you to develop your craft and grow as a machinist
- Program with Mazatrol, Mori Seiki Mapps, and Master Cam or similar
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic machining knowledge
- NIMS credentials level I & II is a plus
- Able to program with one of the following or similar:
Mazatrol, Mori Seiki MAPPS III and/or Mori Seiki MAPPS IV, or Master Cam - Self-motivation and project drive while working well in a team environment
- Basic machining tools (micrometer, indicator, and other standard machinist tools)
- Talent to work safely
- Drive to recognize and mitigate any unsafe condition
- Ability select appropriate PPE based on job requirements
- We generally work first shift Monday-Friday
- Also a position available for a four-day work week on third shift
- Hydromat's workplace is climate controlled through all weather seasons.
