Co-op – Manufacturing Industrial Engineering

• Analyze the efficiency of manufacturing operations and changes involving personnel, material, machines, and facilities
• Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control
• Maintain frequent contact with others outside the work group
• Assist in developing accurate methods and optimum operation layouts
• Create operation descriptions
• Perform calculations to complete studies and change routines or other labor and material control systems

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
• Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2030
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
• Willing to work in a plant environment
• Must be enrolled in a co‑op program through Kettering University or Rochester Institute of Technology
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections
• Ability to promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled
• Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
• Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds and periodically up to 40 pounds
• Ability to occasionally sit, climb ladders and lifts, and drive vehicles and equipment
• Preferred:
  Leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities, or service organizations
• Preferred:
  Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, including synthesizing large amounts of data involving multiple variables
